The Cherry Creek High School sophomore has already established herself as a dominant force in Colorado swimming, following in the footsteps of Olympic legends like Missy Franklin and Amy Van Dyken. Born and raised in Colorado, Kate was practically born to swim, showing competitive fire from the age of three. Her natural talent and relentless work ethic have propelled her to remarkable achievements at a young age. As a freshman in 2025, Kate burst onto the scene by winning two individual events and two relay races at the state swim meet, and she broke a relay record previously held by swimming icon Missy Franklin. One year later, she continued her dominance by winning four more events and helping lead Cherry Creek to its sixth consecutive state title. Kate's success stems from an extraordinary commitment to her sport. She trains six days a week for two hours daily and hits the weight room three mornings a week before school.
