Alyssa Thompson's story begins with her early success in high school, where she was named the Gatorade National Player of the Year in 2021 as a sophomore. At Harvard Westlake High School in California, she scored 48 goals in just two seasons. Alyssa and her sister Giselle trained together from a young age, playing on boys' teams to enhance their skills, which helped them outpace their peers.
